The northernmost tripoint in the world is where the borders of Finland, Norway and Sweden meet. A visit to this border landmark is on just about every Kilpisjärvi visitor’s wish list.
The tripoint is located in the wilderness – no roads in these parts – at the edge of Malla Nature Reserve, in the lap of the Norwegian and Swedish mountain range. You’ll travel across the frozen Lake Kilpisjärvi in a snowmobile passenger sledge, surrounded by the superb scenery of the three countries.
A stop is made at the border mark for you to stroll freely on the territory of each country. Not to be missed: photos of three countries in less than a minute. And do not expect to see a border patrol or passport control!
