Perhaps Mother Nature created Pallas-Yllästunturi region to inspire people to head out into the fresh air The Pallas-Yllästunturi hiking trails lead you through an ever changing terrain of untouched forests and marshes. One scenic view follows another. There are plenty of good rest areas and several wilderness huts to stay overnight. In the winter, there is an extensive network of skiing trails. Roads lead to the park from many directions. Hetta is one of the good places to start your hiking trip.
You can hike to the National Park a little bit faster too.
Marked summer trails amount together to 350 km and skiing trails to over 500 km. There are 19 marked nature trails of length 1-17 km, four long hiking trails between 50-72 km and the Fell Lapland trail network. Suitable for families with children, inexperienced and experienced hikers, trekkers, skiers, and cyclists.
