Leppäjärvi About thirty houses form the village of Leppäjärvi, located near Liankivaara "Fell Lianki", along the road from Hetta to Kautokeino, about 19 km north of Hetta. In the surroundings of Leppäjärvi lie vast driftsand fields. The northern pine forest border line, and at the same time the northern coniferous forest border line, run just north of the village. Leppäjärvi village survived the destruction of the Lapland war intact. Locals believe it was the village wizard, Alamattila, who protected the village from the enemies.
