Yrjö Kokko Bird Tower The Yrjö Kokko bird tower offers spectacular views over the pool in the Ounasjoki River, i.e. in the direction of Joentekiäinen and the Pallastunturi-Ounastunturi fell region.
Driving instructions: From the eastern side of Hetta and the Fell Lapland Nature Centre junction, drive (road no. 956) 9.5 km in the direction of Vuontisjärvi, or drive 3.3 km from the Vuontisjärvi Bridge in the direction of Hetta. From the switchback, a small road rises from the southern bank of the road. There is also a signpost. Cars may be left on the road bank, and walk along the trail down the slope for about two hundred metres. The bird tower and other structures are located on the left side of the trail.
