Glacier crowfoot (Ranunculus glacialis) The delicately elegant glacier crowfoot (10-15 cm) is a hardy species that grows in fell regions with long-lasting snow, by stream and in fragmented rock fields.
The large flowers turn red as they age. The glacier crowfoot grows higher than any other northern vascular plant, in Jotunheimen it can be found at heights over 2000 metres. In Finland, the protected species of glacier crowfoot only grows on higher fells.
